Meet Our Swim Instructor:

Darvin MacDonald

Her passion is anything related to being in the water.  Her absolute love is swimming.

She has been involved with swimming, off and on, for over 40 years.  She’s been a competitive swimmer most of her life (age group, master, a very late-in-life NCAA D3 swimmer – Cabrini College), a swim coach (adaptive, able-bodied, high school assistant, master) and stroke tech.

In more recent years, she has been a lifeguard, a territory/stationary pool manager and an aquatics director.

It’s the students and swimmers Darvin has taught and coached that inspire her to always strive to improve her skills as an: instructor, coach and most importantly – person.

Recently, she started aquatic stroke workx by Darvin; a mobile, swim instruction business.

Her Certifications and Memberships include:

• Pro Lifeguard with CPR and First Aid

• CPO (Certified Pool Operator)

• USMS (United States Masters Swimming)

• WSI (Water Safety Instructor)

• ASCA (American Swimming Coaches Association)
